Alice Sara Ott to release new album titled “Echoes Of Life”

German-Japanese classical pianist Alice Sara Ott has announced the upcoming release of a new album, “Echoes Of Life”.

The program is built around Frédéric Chopin’s Préludes Op 28, interspersed with seven works by György Ligeti, Nino Rota, Chilly Gonzales, Tōru Takemitsu, Arvo Pärt, a new work commissioned by Francesco Tristano and Alice Sara Ott’s own reflections on fragments of WA Mozart. Lacrimosa.

She comments: “Echoes of Life is a musical journey that not only reflects the thoughts and moments that continue to influence my life, but also describes how I see myself as a classical musician today. With his Préludes Op 28, Frédéric Chopin has composed a collection of 24 individual character pieces – very different from each other and yet all linked in one way or another. They remind me of life. I have chosen seven contemporary works to dot the Preludes and, while they echo some of my most personal and vulnerable experiences, they also affirm how modern, provocative and timeless the music of Chopin is. “

Alice Sara Ott has teamed up with award-winning architect Hakan Demirel to create an album-long digital video installation to accompany “Echoes Of Life” in concert. The multisensory experience lends a visual physical and narrative dimension to the music.

‘Echoes Of Life’ will debut on August 15, 2021 in Gstaad, Switzerland, followed by concerts across Europe in the coming seasons, as well as a tour of Japan in May 2022. Read more , meeting on
