This contract represents Binance’s second collaboration this year with a football player. This is “an exclusive, multi-year NFT partnership,” Binance noted in its press release. Binance hopes to launch a global promotion to introduce Ronaldo fans to Web3 with a compelling entry point into the world of non-fungible tokens (NFTs).
Throughout the term of the contract, Binance and Ronaldo will create a series of NFT Collections for sale exclusively on the Binance NFT Page. The first NFT collection will be released later this year.
Four months ago, Binance NFT and Toni Kroos jointly launched the “Iceman Collection”. Toni Kroos is a German national footballer who currently plays for Real Madrid. His very first NFT collection is inspired by different elements of his career, such as his high point, his nickname and his jersey number.
Also worth noting is Binance NFT’s recent collaboration with a London-based Nigerian artist-musician, Nissi Ogulu, which saw the launch of the Jigsaw Tribe. The collection includes unique pieces exploring Africa’s musical heritage through ancient yet lively instruments. The Jigsaw Tribe explores the different facets of life represented as a jigsaw piece.
