EMERGE Belfast: Who’s headlining Belfast’s new two-day music festival this summer

The new EMERGE music festival in Belfast will bring together some of the biggest names in dance music for a two-day summer event.

The brand new multi-stage outdoor annual event will be brought to you by the teams behind the long-running festival Shine and Belsonic, the Belfast club brand.

It will take place for the first time this August bank holiday in Belfast, combining the cutting edge of world-class international electronic artists with the wealth of fantastic new talent constantly emerging from the booming Irish market.

Coming to Boucher Road Playing Fields, Belfast, on August 27-28, 2022, it will be the largest event of its kind in Ireland with a capacity of 20,000 attendees per day.

Headliners Eric Prydz, Disclosure, Peggy Gou and Patrick Topping regularly headline music festivals around the world and return to Belfast.

Here’s what you need to know about the big names behind EMERGE:

Eric Pridz

Eric Pridz

Eric Sheridan Prydz is a Swedish DJ, record producer and musician. He rose to fame with his single “Call on Me” in 2004 and enjoyed continued chart success with “Proper Education” in 2007 and “Pjanoo” in 2008.

His Mouseville, Pryda and Pryda Friends labels are packed full of underground club hits and are proving to be the most successful and forward-thinking brands in existence today.

For over ten years, Eric Prydz has been synonymous with impeccably produced and uniquely sounding electronic music. The platinum-selling producer is responsible for some of the greatest progressive house tracks of the past decade, not to mention some of the most technically impressive live shows of any touring artist.

Eric Prydz impressed the people of Belfast when he appeared on Belsonic in 2018 and he’s undoubtedly set to come back bigger and better.


Guy and Howard Lawrence of Disclosure

Disclosure is an English electronic music duo made up of brothers Howard and Guy Lawrence. They grew up in Reigate, Surrey. Their debut studio album, Settle, released June 3, 2013 by PMR Records, was nominated for Best Dance/Electronica Album at the 2014 Grammy Awards.

A pop-oriented synthesis of many styles, including house, garage, dubstep and bass, along with well-timed vocal collaborations, made Disclosure one of the most successful production teams of the 2010s.

Last performed at Limelight Belfast in 2021, Disclosure are a force to be reckoned with and are aligned to provide music lovers across Northern Ireland with a show they will never forget.

Peggy Gou

Peggy Gou

Peggy Gou is a South Korean DJ and record producer based in Germany. She has released seven EPs on record labels, including Ninja Tune and Phonica. In 2019, she launched her own independent label, Gudu Records, and released a DJ-Kicks compilation, DJ-Kicks: Peggy Gou, on !k7 Records.

Taught to DJ in 2009 by her Korean friend, she had her first gig at Cirque Le Soir, Soho, then performed weekly at the Book Club, East London.

In 2019, she launched her own label Gudu Records, with a name meant to honor both her Korean heritage and her devoted fanbase highlighting both the playful nature of her approach to her creative endeavors and her work ethic.

She will headline the event on Sunday, August 28, 2022.

Patrick Garnish

Patrick Topping is set to headline a major event in Belfast this year

Patrick Topping is an English DJ, music producer and owner of Trick Records.

With releases on Hot Creations, Hottrax and Relief Records, Topping reached number 1 on the Beatport Tech House charts and received DJ Awards for Newcomer DJ and Track of the Season in Ibiza for his summer hit “Forget” in 2014. .

The Newcastle man also won the award for Best Tech House DJ in 2018.

Topping has built upon his career as a DJ, ranging from gigs at his own native club night, officially known as Motion at Digital, to gigs at clubs around the world, including Tomorrowland (Belgium), Awakenings (Country -Bas), Winter Music Conference in Miami.

Patrick Topping is no stranger

They will be joined by a wide range of globally recognized electronic artists including Kettama, Mall Grab, Michael Bibi, DJ Seinfeld, Dusky, Special Request, FJAAK, Rebeckah and many more.
