LA Channel artist Tres shares his musical mantra


The real ones know: Channel Tres has been the soundtrack of summer in LA since their sweet baritone exploded across town in 2018 with their single “Controller.”

Raised in Lynwood and born in Compton, the artist delivers a house with G-funk accents with an unmistakably West Coast groove. With “I Can’t Get Out,” an album he released in 2020 inspired by his time in quarantine, Tres paid a vibrant tribute to pre-COVID LA. while also paying homage to the now closed Cerritos institution of the same name (and one of its first jobs).

The singer-producer has just released his latest collection of new music, in collaboration with electronic duos Polo & Pan and Flight Facilities, and has announced a North American tour this fall with the Grammy-winning artist and compatriot Thundercat. originally from LA.
