British multi-instrumentalist and producer Nick Page, also known as “Dubulah”, passed away on May 11, 2021.

Nick Page was a highly respected musician and producer. He was one of the founders of three of the world’s best fusion groups, TransGlobal Underground, Temple of Sound and Dub Colossus, and producer of the Syriana Project.

Dubulah’s pioneering sound combined world music from India, Jamaica, Ethiopia, North Africa, the Middle East and other parts of the world with electronic dance music and dub.

An Australia-based radio DJ and member of the Transglobal World Music Chart said: “Personally, I have had a long relationship with Nick, spending time with him at Womad parties here in Oz. [Australia] and New Zealand. And we continued to connect through Facebook and I also interviewed him periodically over the phone for my radio show. He had been in poor health for several years. He’s always been a very creative, smart and very funny guy – and a total lover.! “

Dubulah has worked with Peter Gabriel’s label Real World Records on various projects. Peter Gabriel released this statement today.
