The Horrible Histories show is coming to Brewhouse in Taunton!
Fresh from the West End, Horrible Histories – Barmy Britain travels the country and can be seen at The Brewhouse in Taunton on September 19, 2 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.
This hit show is a gag-filled gallop through British history with two actors playing multiple historical roles.
Can you beat Boudicca? Would you be a Magna Carta martyr? Are you going to lose your heart or your head to the horrible Henry VIII? Will Parliament Survive Guy Gunpowder?
These are just a few of the fascinating characters that audiences will experience in the 65-minute show.
Horrible Histories has already taken over the Museum of Somerset with an exhibition by the illustrator of the hit series Horrible History, Martin Brown: Horrible Histories and Other Dazzling Drawings, which is open until October 31.
For enthusiastic fans, Martin Brown will also be at Taunton Brewhouse to sign some gruesome history books after the 4:30 p.m. show on September 19.
“It’s always great fun meeting the readers and audiences of The Horrible Histories,” said Martin.
“In fact, it’s almost as much fun as drawing the pictures for the books in the first place.
“I look forward to my visit to Taunton – hope to see you there.”
The Best of Barmy Britain is written by Terry Deary and Neal Foster from the bestselling books Horrible Histories by Deary.
Deary is the world’s best-selling children’s non-fiction and one of the country’s most popular children’s writers. He wrote 200 books which have been translated into 40 different languages.
