Wordcolour fuses ambient and IDM for new Houndstooth album

Weaving through the sounds of rustling leaves, footsteps and haunting voices.

Nicholas Worrall releases his first album under his Wordcolour alias, titled The trees hummed, and the grass.via Houndstooth in June.

Working with both ambient and IDM elements, Worrall also weaves through the sounds of rustling leaves, footsteps, haunting vocals and synths.

The trees hummed, and the grass. features contributions from percussionist Michael Anklin, vocal artist Natasha Lohan and performance artist Es Morgan, alongside vocals from her friends.

It follows the label’s release of On Man’s self-titled debut album in July.
